If you are going to use article marketing as a part of your web marketing efforts, you will need to get the biggest benefits you can from your work.
Simply tossing some words together and slapping them up on a catalog will not be the most productive use of your time. Instead you want to plan your strategy to incorporate these three critical article marketing tips to maximise the return for you tough work.
1 - Write Well
You do not have to have a Pulitzer Prize to be in a position to write an article well. You do need to be engaging because nobody will read all of the way thru if you put them to sleep. Let your personality shine thru and write like you are writing to a friend .
Always proofread and use your spellcheck. If you are not that good at grammar, then see if you can get friend to check them for you.
Unfortunately, if your article is totally full of mistakes, many people will see this an indication of sloppiness and assume that is probably the case with whatever product you're marketing.
2 - Target a Particular Keyword
If you do your research first and find a keyword or keyword phrase that gets searched frequently yet doesn't have a lot of competition, your article has a great chance of being seen at the apex of the SERPs.
Not merely will you now get traffic from the article directory, but also organic traffic straight from the search engines. That is a real power boost to your work.
3 - Repurpose Every Piece of Content
Too many folk put a great article up at the directories and think that's it. Never restrict yourself to using content only once. After all of the care and work that went into it, you should be getting the most mileage out of that work that you can.
You can start by at least submitting it to other directories but there is more you can do with it too. Make a Squidoo lens, use it in an email campaign or even incorporate the piece into a larger product like a communication.
